Green Hip was built on the basis of providing women with work clothing that expresses their sense of worth and enhances their sense of identity. Our products, from the very beginning, were cleverly designed to allow women to work in comfort, style and safety. And 10 years later, we are still delivering on that promise.Green Hip has come so far in the past10 years, but more especially in the last two. We have had so many opportunities to broaden our range and brand, and we are excited to bring all of our loyal customers some new and exciting changes.
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
For 10 years, founder of Green Hip, Liv, worked as a certified horticulturalist in the industry. As she worked, Liv recognised an issue with the workwear she wore. It was uncomfortable and unsafe which made her feel grossly under-represented as a woman in the work force.
In 2007, Liv parted with her job as a horticulturalist at the Royal Botanic Gardens and began a new adventure, Green Hip Workwear for Women. She began developing fabrics suited for workwear and conceptualising designs that were suited for women in the industry.
Liv opened the business to the public in 2010 and began selling Green Hip’s beloved ‘Pants Original’. Over the years, more designs came to life and more customers came onboard. The Green Hip’s range now offers over 20 products spanning over 6 product categories, even branching into maternity wear.
